While there is not one look that flatters every face, experts say a good rule of thumb is to choose a pair of sunglasses that has a frame that is the opposite shape of your face.

For example, individuals with round faces typically look good in rectangular frames, as they help to add angles, while those with square-shaped faces should opt for round or oval specs to soften the angles, according to the news source.

Individuals with oval faces can wear almost any shaped frame, while those with heart-shaped faces look great in aviator-styles or rimless frames.

Choosing polarized sunglasses is often recommended to help cut down on glare. However, the most important feature of sunglasses is their ability to block 99 percent to 100 percent of UV radiation, according to the American Optometric Association.
