Sunglasses are an integral part of maintaining eye health. They offer protection against the sun's harmful UV rays, and now there are even more varieties to choose from with the introduction of several new lines of sunglasses, according to The Moodie Report.
Italian eyewear manufacturer Marcolin has introduced new sunglasses from brands like Tod's and designer John Galliano. These new introductions from Marcolin can be added to their stable of eyewear lines by Tom Ford and Roberto Cavalli.
The new sunglasses collections from Tod's and Galliano reflect the design philosophies of both labels. Galliano's incorporate the familiar prints he has used in his clothing. Tod's are very sleek and understated, just like their handbags and shoes.
With the summer months right around the corner, it is imperative that our eyes stay protected from harsh effects from the sun.
Like our skin, eyes can be sunburned. The best way to prevent any damage begin done to your eyes is to wear sunglasses that block out 99 to 100 percent of all UV rays. According to the American Optometric Association (AOA), long term exposure to the sun can lead to cataracts and vision loss.
