Sarah Plain's eyeglasses spark national eyewear trend
January 13, 2010
Sarah Palin recently began her latest gig as a news analyst for FOX news, a traditionally conservative network.
Though not all Americans agree with the politician's views, it seems that everyone is onboard with her signature, rimless eyewear.
"Sarah Palin, whether you love her or hate her, has become a style icon in the area of eyeglasses," eyeglasses expert Jennifer Harvey said in a statement. "Women from all over the world began searching out The Sarah frame after seeing her wear the design during her campaign."
Happily, the rimless frames favored by the former vice-presidential candidate are also universally flattering. They offer a soft, subtle look and will most likely complement nearly every face shape.
Professionals who wish to channel the news correspondent's elegant look might decide to snatch up a pair for themselves on their next visit to their eye care professional.
According to the American Optometric Association (AOA) individuals between the ages of 18 and 60 years old should visit an optometrist at least once every two years to ensure that their eyes are healthy and functioning properly.
