Maui Jim introducing new sunglasses in Cannes
September 2, 2010
Sunglasses brand Maui Jim recently announced the introduction of several new styles which will be shown during an exhibition in Cannes, France, according to The Moodie Report.
The Hamoa Beach design has a bold rectangular frame and broad temples in high gloss nylon, and also has polarized lenses that come in rose, grey or bronze.
Those that are looking for something a bit more fashionable may prefer the Punchbowl. Made with a tough, lightweight nylon frame that comes in chocolate, tortoiseshell or black, the sunglasses also have polycarbonate lenses.
The Maui Cat III model gives off a glamorous feel. The light nylon frame comes in tortoiseshell or black and also includes scratch and impact resistant lenses.
The Dawn Patrol and Manele Bay models are made of a lightweight, durable metal. The frames are reminiscent of an aviator-style frame but have a contemporary twist.
The brand will also be introducing two more models in time for their Fall collection.
Sunglasses are an important, year-round accessory. According to the American Optometric Association, sunglasses should block out 99 to 100 percent of the sun's UV rays.
