Lisa Loeb launches her own line of eyeglasses
December 21, 2009
Fans of female-rocker Lisa Loeb might have already sought out plastic-framed eyeglasses similar to the singer's signature specs, but eyeglasses-wearers who like Loeb's style can now purchase a pair designed by Loeb herself.
MTV.com reported the songstress has teamed with Classique eyewear to produce a line of glasses which will be available in black and in tortoise-shell. The frames will also be decked out in rhinestones and other embellishments, and each unique style will be named after one of Loeb's famous songs.
When the video for Loeb's popular song "Stay" came out, the singer's cat- eye frames launched a huge trend in eyewear. The vintage-inspired look remained popular throughout the '90s and the plastic glasses quickly became a staple of her look.
If you're due for a new pair of eyeglasses, be sure to schedule a thorough eye exam to coincide with you frame-shopping. The American Optometric Association suggests that Americans between the ages of 19 and 40 have regular check-ups with an eye care professional.
