Lady GaGa refuses to remove tinted sunglasses at airport

Many celebrities use tinted sunglasses to hide from the paparazzi when they're in public places. The always eccentric Lady GaGa took her shades one step further by wearing a black veil on top of them in Los Angeles Airport.

While she was making her way through the airport, GaGa was asked by security to take off her veil and tinted sunglasses, which she refused to do, according to the Daily Mail. However, security was not budging either and escorted the pop star into a private room to be body searched.

GaGa emerged from the room 15 minutes later with her veil and tinted sunglasses still in place and was able to catch her flight out of the City of Angels.

Although it's never a good idea to pitch a fit to airport security, sunglasses are still a functional accessory that can preserve eye health.

According to the American Optometric Association, sunglasses may be able to help prevent individuals from developing cataracts, as one of the causes of the condition is too much exposure to harmful UV rays.
