Lady Gaga goes on TV with a whole new look

Last night Lady Gaga appeared on German chat show Wetten Dass...? without any masks, bird nests or her signature gigantic sunglasses, marking one of the few public appearances where fans can see her whole face, the Daily Mail reported this morning.

The pop star has also been known to wear lace netting over her eyes, like the red veil she donned at this year's VMAs.

However, the star did make a grand entrance in big, wrap-around shades that she took off for the interview. Lady Gaga has also been spotted in sunglasses that look similar to the classic Ray Ban Wayfarers, vintage, over-sized aviators, and a pair of specs with four lenses.

You don't have to sport extravagant styles, but making sunglasses a signature accessory is a smart idea. The American Optometric Association suggests that everyone, including children, should wear sunglasses whenever they're outside during the daytime.

Harmful UV rays can lead to eye health problems later in life, such as cataracts, Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) or glaucoma.

Sunglasses don't need to have designer labels, but check to make sure that they have at least 99 percent UV protection.
