Kenneth Cole continues partnership with eyewear company
March 12, 2010
As fashion designers attempt to expand their brands, they tend to turn towards creating accessories that will reach a larger audience. Kenneth Cole recently announced the renewal of their contract with Marcolin Group to continue their distribution of prescription eyeglasses and tinted sunglasses.
The original agreement in 2003 allowed Marcolin to produce and distribute the line in retail stores around the United States. The contract was later changed in 2005 so that the eyewear line could be sold in stores all around the world.
Kenneth Cole executives said they are happy that their partnership with the eyewear company will continue.
"Marcolin is a leader in the luxury eyewear market and a terrific partner," Jill Granoff, chief executive officer (CEO) of Kenneth Cole Productions, said. "We look forward to continuing our long-term relationship and working together to realize the full potential of the Kenneth Cole sunglass and optical categories, which are an integral part of our lifestyle offering for men and women."
Regardless of style or designer, sunglasses are a must. According to All About Vision, specialized tinted lenses can help reduce the glare brought on by the sun's rays, allowing individuals to see more clearly.
