Justin Timberlake to release eyeglasses line
February 1, 2010
Justin Timberlake's clothing line William Rast, which is geared toward individuals in their mid-twenties, recently announced they would be releasing a collection of eyewear ranging from sunglasses to prescription eyeglasses.
The two lines will be released in 2011, according to Apparel News. Because the brand is co-owned by one of the biggest trendsetters in the country, Justin Timberlake, they will be looking to the style icon for inspiration.
"William Rast has a DNA that includes a biker sensibility, leather and denim," Colin Dyne, the CEO of People's Liberation, which produces the line, told the news provider. "Justin [Timberlake] wears glasses now, so some of the [William Rast Eyewear] inspiration will come from him."
The glasses will be sold at William Rast stores as well as other retailers, and will be available in early 2011.
Having a popular brand such as William Rast offering a line of eyeglasses may encourage more people to get their eyes checked, which is beneficial to eye health.
According to the American Optometric Association, it is a good idea for an individual to get their eyes checked every two years to ensure they aren't at risk for any eye diseases, add comma, such as myopia.
