World Champion jet ski racer designs sunglassesWorld Champion jet ski racer Tommy "the Bomber" Bonacci has designed a pair of eyeglasses ideal for his favorite sport. The Bomber Line of "sun-and-safety" glasses are available nationwide and online via the racer's website, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Some models of the glasses come with a patented foam lining, making the glasses buoyant should they fall off while one is participating in a water sport. In addition, this foam makes the glasses fit snugly to keep them in place and keep the eyes clear of perspiration.

Bonacci created the glasses to solve the problem of sinking glasses. After adding the foam, he realized that in addition to keeping the glasses afloat, it held them in place even if one quickly turned their head.

The glasses are lightweight and can be used for biking, boating, fishing or simply for every day use. The eyewear is also affordable - they are priced between $7.95 and $34.95.

Sunglasses are essential for those who spend a lot of time in direct sunlight, as rays from the sun can cause eye damage. When purchasing sunglasses, the American Optometric Association suggests that consumers purchase glasses that screen out 75 to 90 percent of visible light.
