Jada Pinkett Smith rocking sunglasses while in New York City

Actress Jada Pinkett Smith has been spotted around New York City with husband, Will Smith, and daughter Willow, and she's been hiding behind a pair of over-sized sunglasses, The Daily Mail reports.

Pinkett Smith was caught by paparazzi leaving her hotel wearing a long-sleeve mesh top paired with leather hot pants, black leather booties and black sunglasses that are somewhat reminiscent of the shades Victoria Beckham wears.

Her daughter Willow has also been getting in on the sunglasses action, rocking a pair of square framed silver shades paired with a lace top and striped leggings. It is no secret that the 9-year-old is a budding fashionista, and she is certainly giving her mother a run for her money.

Sunglasses are an important accessory for both adults and children, not only helping to jazz up an outfit, but offering protection from the harmful rays from the sun.

The American Optometric Association recommends consumer look for sunglasses that block 99 to 100 percent of the sun's UV rays.
