Gunnar Optik's Gaming classes could help office workers

Glasses that help gamers could help office workers, tooGunnar Optik's Legend Eyeglasses were originally aimed at gamers. The yellow tinted lenses claim to heighten players' vision and make it easier for them to play for extended periods of time. Could the same shades benefit office workers as well?

According to ZDNET.com, Gunnar Optik's have suggested that the eyeglasses, which are sponsored by Major League Gaming, could help reduce computer-related eyestrain.

The aviator-style glasses get the job done with their i-AMP lens technology. That means that the lenses are actually designed to sharpen near distance with tinted lenses and anti-reflective coatings, according to CDNET.com. The glasses are also treated to be extra-durable, in case they get thrown off in a fit of post-halo euphoria.

So, should office workers risk the humiliation of sporting the conspicuous specs indoors? If the glasses make it easier for you to focus on your computer screen, it could be worth the fashion faux pas.

The America Optometric Association reports that Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is very common among US office workers, and that symptoms can include fatigue, headache, eyestrain, blurred near vision, dry or irritated eyes and muscle aches.

The AOA suggests taking frequent breaks when working on a computer during the day, and remembering to blink frequently in order to avoid CVS.ADNFCR-2615-ID-19460457-ADNFCR
