Giorgio Armani launching new eyeglasses collection

Fashion journalist and former model Giovanna Battaglia has been spotted rocking a pair of vintage Emporio Armani frames that has caused quite a stir among well-heeled crowd of fashionistas. This seems perfect since Giorgio Armani is launching a new vintage inspired collection of eyeglasses, DailyFrontRow.com reports.

Armani is calling on the first collections of eyewear he produced in the 1980s for inspiration. The new line will consist of strictly eyeglasses, so those who are searching for the perfect pair of vintage Armani sunglasses may have to continue their search.

The Frames of Life collection will feature one style each for men and women, and they will be available in several colors, the news source reports.

The specs are classic Armani - simple, clean lines with no embellishment except for the tiny Emporio Armani printed on the temple.

To launch the new line a retrospective and cocktail party is being held at the Armani flagship store in New York City.

Eyeglasses are both stylish and functional, but remember to get an annual eye exam to catch any changes in your vision, the American Optometric Association recommends.
