Eyewear a part of back to school fashion

Students heading back to the classrooms this month are likely concerned about their fashion. According to Guampdn.com, there are many new trends that stylish students are focusing on this year, beyond simple updates to their wardrobes.
Many youngsters will be donning new hairstyles for the school year. While some may opt for the long-haired look, some school-aged girls will opt for a "flip" haircut. Some of the more adventurous kids may even be dying their hair fun colors, such as blue or red.
Students who wear glasses may want to pick out new frames for the school year. There are even some students who don't need a prescription but opt for frames with clear lenses.
The source reports that aviator sunglasses are particularly popular this year. "I think teens like them because they fit into most face shapes and they have that retro feel to it - like you're a character from the Breakfast Club," Angelina Pangelin, a high school student, told the news source.
Sunglasses can be more than a fashion statement - they also help protect one's eyes from harmful UV radiation. According to the American Optometric Association, sunglasses should screen out 75 to 90 percent of visible light.
