Individuals received free eye examsThe seventh annual Kenosha Touched Twice Free Clinic was held in Wisconsin to help provide necessary care measures for low-income residents of the town.

In addition to an eye care exam, participants also had the opportunity to receive free meals and haircuts, according to Kenosha News. A countless number of prescription eyeglasses were also donated to the cause, and individuals in need of frames were able to receive new eyeglasses on site.

Participants used the event as a one-stop stop for all of the checkups that they required.

"We came here for the vision screening and to be checked out by the podiatrist," participant Allyson Jacobs told the news provider.

According to the eye care providers, approximately 60 percent of participants who had eye care exams were given eyeglasses on the spot, which indicates they may have gone a while without proper treatment for their eye health issues.

The American Optometric Association suggests that individuals should try and receive an eye care exam every other year to ensure there is no risk of poor eye health.ADNFCR-2615-ID-19657139-ADNFCR
