Could 3D animation prompt a visit to an eye care professional?

Some people are noticing something is wrong with their vision after they see 3D moviesThe newest trend in movie-going experience is to see films in 3D animation. Blockbusters including Alice and Wonderland and Avatar were featured in 3D and have drawn in a large audience. However some individuals are finding that their 3D movie experience could turn into a vision exam.

Some audience members are noticing that when they go to 3D movies, they have a hard time seeing the animation, which may prompt them to get their sight checked out, according to Dallas CBS affiliate, CBS 11 TV.

Chandler Choate, a 17-year-old, was recently diagnosed with myopia after she went to see the movie Avatar and found that the animation to be too painful to concentrate on.

"I had to take my glasses off every now and then because I was getting headaches from the movie," Choate told the news provider.

Choate added that she had no idea she had myopia and had not noticed the problem until she went to see the film.

As a way to stay on top of eye health, the American Optometric Association recommends that individuals seek an eye care exam every other year to watch out for any developing conditions.ADNFCR-2615-ID-19737713-ADNFCR
