August 19, 2010
A team of eyewear and athletic gear experts have come together to create a new company known as Dizm, which will distribute fashion-forward sunglasses for trendy action sport lovers.
The team of professionals that have gathered to create this exciting product include Tom Akeley, former CEO of Pro-Tec; Jonas Lee, former category manager for Vans Snow and two seasoned designers, Chris Moloney and Steve Chang.
"We are excited to bring our sunglasses to market. We feel the styles and colors are fresh and definitely set us apart from other brands on the shelf," said Lee, who is the general manager of the new company. "Dizm sunglasses are going to be known for their look, quality and fine detail. At ever price point, consumers deserve great fit and great design. Our team understands that both of these attributes are equally important for the success of the brand."
The company is headquartered in Hermosa Beach California, and has already released its line of eyewear to sports enthusiasts and fashionistas in Southern California and the Sunbelt states.
According to the American Optometric Association, those who play sports may want to visit an eye doctor to determine what kind of protective eyewear best suits their needs.
