Anti-aging glasses attempt to prevent crows feet
September 1, 2010
For many, skin that sags around the eyes, also known as crows feet, is an inevitable part of aging. However, inventors in Japan have released a pair of glasses that attempts to combat this symptom of growing older, according to Dvice.com.
The spectacles, which the source suspects may not accomplish the task of preventing crow's feet, strap on to one's head and pull up on the skin around the eye. The glasses will hold the skin in place for as long as one wears them.
The glasses do not contain a lens, so those who wear contact lenses would be able to wear them . However, people who wear frames to improve their vision would have to remove their glasses when wearing the device.
Instead of wearing these questionable frames, some people may want to consider wearing sunglasses to help prevent sagging eye skin. Dark glasses can reduce squinting, which can cause premature wrinkling, according to LiveStrong.com.
According to the American Optometric Association, effective sunglasses should also block out 75 to 95 percent of all visible light, and should screen out 95 to 99 percent of harmful UV radiation.
